Reluctant Absence...

I am about 2 to 3 weeks behind in my book log. I swear I will update it soon! Mostly because I am running out of room with the stacks towering around my bed. Our internet usage has been used up for the month, and I am very busy with a DRP at the moment, so I probably will be offline for a week or so. I might try and find some time at lunch to type up 2 blogs I started in Notepad (yes, I blog when I am on call waiting at work – its more cathartic then doodling! LOL), but aside from that, no internet for Jacq! *sob* Our download limit (12gb a month, 3 GenX/Y housemates – not a good combination!!) should be good again by the 12th. Have a great weekend/week everyone!!

Wow, I only have two people in my house and we use all of our 55gb a month dls. I feel sad for you.

It was doable when I was the only one using the net, with my housemates only logging on every few days for facebook and email. Now its just crazy, as all 3 of us have computers. I cant even use fucking youtube for fear that the limit will be reached. I can't stream any more(! I used to love last.fm!), downloading is out of the question, and I tend to go to sites like tumblr and deviantart with lots of graphics. I've been trying to get Lachlan to get a different internet plan for about a year now. If it doesnt change soon, I think I will go and get my own wireless setup. We got ADSL+2 when it was the new big thing, and it used to be wonderful. Now it is just painful *sigh* It was better when I had the only computer...

I will give you this though. At least you live in Sydneys and not in Toowoomba which gives you more and cheaper options. Think about that and smile and laugh at me paying $70 a month for my connection.

You are either going to laugh or cry. We are paying just over $60 a month on ours. It was a good deal when L signed up for it, as it was about $20/month with all the discounts, but about a year ago it went up to full price, and he has been reluctant to sign onto another vendor *sigh* Which is silly, because like you said, there are so many more options available here in Sydney *rolls eyes* silly boy...

I shudder at the thought of internet in Toowoomba... I've heard horror stories...

Actually since they enabled naked dsl2 it has been good. No phone rental fees and it is reasonably speedy. Faster for you though since you can get cable internet speeds.

*nods* we were one of the first subburbs it was released to in Sydney... it was good times LOL

I'm so glad the internet is speeding up there... Hopefully it will get cheaper and more accessible soon!! :D
