I am taking part in Aussie Author Month during April. Daily links tweeted using the #ausbooks hash will be collated {here}. Aussie Author Month is also supporting donations to the Indigenous Literacy Project. You can donate through the Aussie Author Month ILP page on on GoFundraise.
My posts for Aussie Author Month can be found using the Aussie Author Month or #ausbooks tags. If you don't have a blog, I am looking for guest bloggers for Book Bites during April. If you are interested, please email me on book bites oz at gmail dot com.
Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
* Grab your current read
* Open to a random page
* Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
* BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
* Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Teasers:
Rosie sat under the shelter of the cabin with her pack jammed between her legs, swatting at the insects buzzing around her bare thighs. She wished she’d thought to change into a pair of longer pants, but clothes had been the last thing on her mind when she’d jumped out of the window.

Why did she jump out of a window? My teaser comes for An Irish Country Courtship.
Wow, this teaser really makes you curious about what happens next. Love the cover of the book too!! Great teaser!
Be sure to check out mine: http://peskypiksipesternomi.blogspot.com/2011/04/tt-3-shadow-of-wind.html
I love this cover. It is so simple, yet so effective! ^_^
Rosie found something hidden in the swamp, and is on the run. Her dad was snatched while she hid in the roof. She jumped out the window rather than take the stairs :) It is really interesting so far.
I wonder what the first thing on her mind was when she jumped out of the window!
Two teasers from me this week - one from a very short story, and the other from a very long one! And one of them is an Aussie author in honour of Aussie Author month!
^Seeing your teaser reminded me to grab one from Genesis LOL So thank you! I left you a comment by the way :)
I'd tell you what was going through my mind if I had to jump out a window or be nabbed by baddies, but it isn't for polite company LOL
I suspect my thoughts may have been similar to yours!
Definitely give the Rothfuss books a go. The Name of the Wind was one of my favourite reads of last year.
Oh, I am cross posting again! I've added Patrick Rothfuss to my recs page :)

This does sound interesting.
Wow, quite a teaser; I love it! I haven't been involved with the Aussie authors challenge but I've been reading so many good things coming out of it that i think it's inspired me for next time or at least to make a list in the meant time. Thanks for sharing!
Great teaser. I need to read this!
This is a great visual!

I like that your teaser gave us a glimpse of the character...and the hint of desperation about her, even as she is apparently doing something very "plucky."
Thanks for sharing.
Here's
MY TT POST
What could have made her jump out of the window?
stop and see mine and my giveaways.
Great teaser - I take it she is running away?
