Edit: I am also going to do the Anita Blake Challenge. Laurell K Hamilton is one of my favourite authors, and it has been a while since I have read them all, and I dont think I have EVER read them in order LOL The challenge is to read all of the Anita Blake series in order and to review them. There is a prize offered by Headline Review open to everyone who isnt in the US or Canada! Woohoo! I am excited about that because all competions are normally exclusive to the US and Canada LOL

I saw your challenges and was tempted, but I already had these ones. As this is a committment to read/review 35 books of a specific variety, i thought I should leave it at that. There are some great challenges out there... I found more i wanted to do, but I had to be realistic and limit them. Yes I read a lot of books, but I dont have a lot of discilpine when it comes to reading specific books LOL

I'm not actually doing any of those challenges listed. The last challenge I set myself I didn't even get through and gave up pretty quickly.
I'll be looking out for your reviews (I was able to put your rss feed on my tool bar), especially of the Aussie ones.

I'll be back to your blog with some Aussie recommendations for you later - I'm mulling over a number of authors at the moment :)I just decided on my own that I was challenging myself to read a certain number of classics this year. I was reading too much pop culture, and not enough books of substance. I'm sure someone has an official challenge somewhere!! I just don't know of one.
Oh, Dutchie! I like it! LOL I could tell by your writing style and url who it could be, but I thought I would confirm before I took it at face value.
^I understand about the challenges. Its challenging! Especially when you have other commitmments, and health issues. I started to go a bit crazy, collecting challenges, and then I realised I should be more realistic. You know me, I read A LOT, but it tends to be all the same sort of books. So I wanted to mix it up a bit, push out a bit, but also be realistic in the fact that I get distracted, and sometimes I just need a good trashy paperback when the brain fog rolls in (lets face it, that is most of the time LOL).
Haha yes, the reviews... I got crazy witht he challenges, and then realised, wait a minute.. it means I need to sit down and do some writting.. I just dont bother with it any more, because of the fog. Its why my forum usage and blogging isnt as big as it used to be. I just cant bring my thoughts together enough to make sense to everyone else LOL
The challenges are challenging lol. I should think so!
But yeah I know, it can be hard to keep up with them with life and everything else.
It can also be so easy to get carried away with them because there's so many good ones.
You do I what I do when I get foggy. I tell myself I'm going to read something deep and meaningful, but just end up reading the usual YA fiction lol. It's easier.
Just an update, I created a specific challenge page for my Classics Challenge. This includes code for the challenge badge, a list of challenge levels, and if anyone wants to be listed, I will collect names, a link to your blog, and the level you choose. I created the page because a lot of people were asking me where I got my challenge from.
